Gambia beat Liberia to reach UFOA-A U17 final and qualify for 2027 AFCON

The Gambia reached the final of the UFOA-A U17 tournament by beating Liberia 2-1 in their semi-final in Dakar on Thursday, 17 September 2026.

The victory also secured the Baby Scorpions a place at the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Gambia will face Senegal in the regional final on Sunday, 20 September, with Senegal having already booked their place in the showpiece match.

The final will bring together two teams from Group A who met earlier in the group stage. They will now contest the UFOA-A trophy in Dakar.
