Enock Sakala: Zambia striker joins Abdysh-Ata Kant on free transfer from Gulf United FC

Zambia forward Enock Sakala has joined Kyrgyz side Abdysh-Ata Kant on a free transfer from Gulf United FC.

The 24-year-old centre-forward moves to the Jogorku Liga club after leaving Gulf United, who play in the United Arab Emirates. The deal is a permanent move, with Sakala arriving without a transfer fee following the end of his spell in the Gulf.

Sakala, who operates through the middle as a centre-forward, becomes one of the latest African players to head to Central Asia as clubs in the region look to deepen their attacking options. His switch brings him into a league increasingly looking beyond its borders for reinforcements in key positions.

The transfer marks a significant change of environment for the Zambia attacker, who now swaps Middle Eastern football for the Kyrgyz top flight. Abdysh-Ata Kant will look to integrate him quickly into their forward line as they navigate their domestic campaign in the Jogorku Liga.

Sakala’s arrival adds further depth to Abdysh-Ata Kant’s attacking resources, with the club confirming the free transfer has been completed ahead of the latest round of league fixtures.
