Nigeria midfielder David Emmanuel switches to Ceske Budejovice for Czech loan spell

Nigeria midfielder David Emmanuel has joined Ceske Budejovice from Kladno on loan, beginning a new chapter in the 19-year-old defensive midfielder’s career in the Czech Republic.

The move was completed on 19 September 2026 and runs until 31 December, when Emmanuel is scheduled to return to Kladno. He switches from the Czech National League to Ceske Budejovice, who compete in the CFL.

Emmanuel, born on 19 November 2006, is a right-footed midfielder who stands 1.85m tall. His primary role is in defensive midfield, offering Ceske Budejovice another option in the centre of the pitch for the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign.

He joins after spending the opening part of the season with Kladno. Emmanuel moved there from FC Bayern II on 15 February 2026, following the end of a loan spell at the German club with Hessen Kassel.

His time at Bayern II came after a temporary move from Bayern’s under-19 side to Hessen Kassel in January 2025. Before entering the Bayern set-up, Emmanuel had been with Global Academy.

The transfer gives Emmanuel another opportunity to continue his development in senior football after spells across clubs in Germany and the Czech Republic. He has not yet made an appearance for Ceske Budejovice in the current season, with the club’s campaign including matches in the Chance Narodni Liga and the MOL Cup.

His record also shows no appearances, goals or assists for Kladno in the current campaign before the move. Emmanuel’s immediate task is to establish himself within the Ceske Budejovice squad during the loan period.

The midfielder’s career has already included movement between academy and senior environments. He joined Bayern’s under-19 team from Global Academy, moved temporarily to Hessen Kassel, returned to Bayern II, and then continued his career with Kladno before completing the latest switch.

Ceske Budejovice have now secured Emmanuel’s services on loan through the end of 2026, with the player contracted to return to Kladno after the temporary arrangement concludes.
