Benin defender Prince Agbanou joins US Ben Guerdane on free transfer

Benin centre-back Prince Agbanou has joined Tunisian Ligue 1 club US Ben Guerdane from Coton Sport FC on a free transfer.

The 20-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029, completing his move on 19 September 2026. Agbanou becomes part of a US Ben Guerdane squad competing in Tunisia’s top flight after leaving Coton Sport, where he had played since moving up from the club’s under-20 side.

Agbanou began his development with Coton Sport U17 before joining the club’s youth team in July 2023. He stepped up to Coton Sport FC a year later, and his switch to Ben Guerdane represents the next move in his career.

Born in Seme-Kpodji, Agbanou is a right-footed defender who stands 1.91m tall. His primary position is centre-back, giving him a clearly defined role at his new club.

The move also takes the young defender into a new footballing environment in Tunisia, with US Ben Guerdane competing in Ligue 1. Agbanou’s contract keeps him at the club through the end of June 2029.
