Kadu linked with Borneo FC move as Indonesian side weigh free-agent swoop

Angolan goalkeeper Kadu, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Indonesian Super League side Borneo FC as the Kalimantan outfit assess options to strengthen their goalkeeping department. The 31-year-old, a free agent since leaving PSBS Biak this summer, is understood to be among the names under consideration as Borneo look to add experience to their squad.

Kadu, born in Porto Amboim and standing at 1.90m, spent last season in Indonesia with PSBS Biak after joining them from Angolan club Sagrada in July 2025. His familiarity with the league and recent experience in the country are thought to be key factors in Borneo’s interest as they explore attainable targets in the current window.

The keeper’s market value is estimated at around €150,000, a figure that would make him a relatively low-cost addition in salary terms given he would not command a transfer fee. Kadu is predominantly right-footed and operates solely as a goalkeeper.

Earlier in his career he came through the FC Porto system, progressing from the under-17s to the senior set-up and going on to feature for FC Porto B. He was part of a Porto squad that won the Portuguese championship in the 2011–12 season, the standout honour on his CV, before embarking on a series of moves across Portugal’s lower divisions and, more recently, Angola and Indonesia.

For now, Kadu remains unattached after officially joining the free-agent market on 1 July 2026, leaving him free to negotiate directly with Borneo FC or any other interested club.
