USFA sign Burkina Faso attacking midfielder Abdoul Karim Kote from Rahimo FC

Burkina Faso attacking midfielder Abdoul Karim Kote has joined USFA from Rahimo FC, completing a move to the Ouagadougou-based club on 19 September 2026.

The 25-year-old, who plays in an advanced midfield role, arrives after a spell with Rahimo FC. No transfer fee or contract length has been disclosed for the move, and the club has not stated whether the deal is permanent or temporary.

Kote’s switch brings an end to his latest period with Rahimo, where he had been registered since returning from a loan spell at ASF Bobo. He joined ASF Bobo from Rahimo in September 2024 and spent the 2024-25 campaign there before returning to his parent club at the end of June 2025.

His transfer history places his first recorded move to Rahimo in October 2017. Since then, he has remained within Burkina Faso’s domestic football structure, including his season with ASF Bobo and his subsequent return to Rahimo.

Kote arrives at USFA during the 2026-27 campaign, with the club involved in the CAF Champions League. He has been listed as part of the squad for the competition, although he has yet to make an appearance in its two recorded matches so far.

The new USFA player has been registered as an attacking midfielder, a position that places him behind the main forward line and in a role focused on providing support in the final third. His arrival adds another Burkina Faso player to the club’s squad as USFA continue their domestic and continental schedule.

Kote’s latest appearance data show no goals, assists or disciplinary cards in the current CAF Champions League campaign, with no minutes played recorded before his move. Those figures relate to the competition period before he joined USFA and do not represent his record for the new club.

The transfer also marks the latest stage of a career that has included senior spells with Rahimo FC and ASF Bobo. His return from loan preceded the move to USFA, which was completed on the same date it was recorded.

Kote is now a USFA player after switching from Rahimo FC on 19 September 2026.
