Hedi Mezedjri: Tunisia midfielder, 16, joins SM Caen U19 from Aubagne Air
Tunisia youth midfielder Hedi Mezedjri has joined SM Caen U19 on a free transfer from Aubagne Air U17. The 16-year-old central midfielder moves into the Normandy club’s youth set-up ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, stepping up an age group as he continues his development in France.
Mezedjri, born on 10 September 2009, is listed as a central midfielder and will link up with Caen’s under-19 squad competing in the National U19 Group A. The switch was completed on 23 July 2026, with the player moving directly from Aubagne Air’s under-17 side into Caen’s academy structure.
The transfer strengthens Caen’s midfield options at youth level, with Mezedjri arriving as a full Tunisia national of eligible age for future international youth call-ups. His move also represents a notable step in competition level, with the National U19 framework providing regular fixtures against some of the strongest academies in the country.
Mezedjri’s registration with SM Caen U19 is recorded without a specified contract end date, underlining that the deal is focused on integrating him into the club’s development pathway rather than a headline senior agreement. He is currently attached only to Caen’s under-19 side and is listed in his natural role in central midfield.
The deal, completed as a free transfer, confirms Mezedjri’s switch from Aubagne Air U17 to SM Caen U19 for the 2026-27 season.
