Sayed Al-Dokali: Libya-Qatar midfielder leaves Muaither to become free agent
Libya-Qatar attacking midfielder Sayed Al-Dokali has left Qatari side Muaither SC and is now a free agent after his contract with the Second Division club came to an end.
The 32-year-old, who operates mainly as a No 10 and is left-footed, departs Muaither having joined them in July 2025 from Al-Shamal SC. His exit leaves the experienced playmaker without a club ahead of the new campaign, with his status now officially listed as unattached.
Al-Dokali has built his career almost entirely in Qatar, progressing through the ASPIRE Academy system before stepping into senior football with El-Jaish in 2012. Standing at 1.75m, he has accumulated significant experience in the Qatar Stars League and domestic cup competitions over more than a decade.
Across league and cup competitions in Qatar, Al-Dokali has made over 130 senior appearances, including 85 in the Stars League. He has scored 5 league goals and provided 5 league assists, while adding another 5 goals and 5 assists in the QSL Cup, underlining his contribution in advanced midfield areas.
His journey has taken in spells with several Qatari clubs, including Al-Wakrah, Al-Rayyan, Al-Shahania and Al-Mesaimeer, before a move to Al-Ahli SC in 2021. From there he switched to Al-Shamal in 2024 and then Muaither a year later, maintaining a presence in the country’s top two tiers.
Al-Dokali has also tasted continental action, registering a goal in the AFC Champions League during a brief five-game stint in the competition, and currently holds an estimated market value of €100,000.
The departure confirms that Sayed Al-Dokali’s latest spell at Muaither SC has ended with the midfielder now available on a free transfer.
