Alexander Amoafo: Ghana winger signs for Podbrezova in Slovak Nike Liga move

Ghanaian winger Alexander Amoafo has joined Slovak top-flight side Podbrezova, completing a move that sees the 22-year-old attacker link up with the Nike Liga club. The right-sided forward has signed after most recently being unattached, giving Podbrezova an extra option in the wide attacking areas ahead of the new campaign.

Amoafo, whose main position is on the right wing, joins Podbrezova at the age of 22, offering the club a player in the early stages of his senior career who is accustomed to operating high up the pitch. Comfortable in the attacking third, he is expected to be used primarily from the right flank as Podbrezova look to bolster their options out wide.

The move represents a significant step for Amoafo as he settles into Slovak football with a club established in the country’s top division. His arrival adds depth to Podbrezova’s front line and increases competition for places in the wide roles.

Having joined on 16 July 2026, Amoafo is now registered with Podbrezova for the 2026-27 season as the Nike Liga side continue to shape their squad.
