Christian Chukwuka joins Shabab Al-Sahel in Lebanese Premier League move

Nigeria midfielder Christian Chukwuka has joined Lebanese Premier League club Shabab Al-Sahel, completing his move on 20 September 2026. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder arrives as the latest step in a career that has taken him across clubs in Albania, Cyprus and Jordan.

Chukwuka, born in Ekwulobia, Nigeria, is listed as a right-footed midfielder and stands 1.80m tall. He operates primarily in the defensive midfield role, giving Shabab Al-Sahel a player whose main position is in front of the defence.

The move takes Chukwuka into the Lebanese Premier League after his most recent recorded club spell with Al-Aqaba Club. He joined the Jordanian side in September 2025 after a period without a club, having previously also represented Al-Aqaba between March 2022 and July 2024.

Earlier in his career, Chukwuka played for Gonyeli SK and FK Bylis. He joined Gonyeli SK from FK Bylis in September 2018 in a free transfer, following his arrival at Bylis in September 2016.

His competitive record includes four appearances in the Kupa e Shqiperise, with 313 minutes played. Those outings came during his time in Albanian football, where he also featured in the Kategoria e Pare.

Chukwuka’s arrival marks his first recorded move to a club in Lebanon and adds another country to his professional playing history. Shabab Al-Sahel now become his latest club after his spells in Albania, Cyprus and Jordan.

The transfer was completed on 20 September 2026, with Chukwuka joining Shabab Al-Sahel and beginning the next chapter of his career in Lebanon.
