Anis Hadj Moussa: Sunderland eye move for Feyenoord winger in Premier League push
Algeria and France international Anis Hadj Moussa, currently at Feyenoord, is being linked with a move to Premier League side Sunderland as the English club explore attacking reinforcements.
The 24-year-old right winger is under contract with the Rotterdam club until 30 June 2030, a deal that strengthens Feyenoord’s negotiating position as interest grows. Hadj Moussa’s current market value stands at around €23m, indicating that any agreement is likely to require a significant fee if Sunderland decide to formalise their interest.
Hadj Moussa only arrived at De Kuip last summer, joining Feyenoord from Belgian side Patro Eisden on 1 July 2024 in a deal worth €3.5m. Since moving to the Eredivisie he has built a reputation as a productive wide option, registering 20 goals and 12 assists in 74 league appearances, and adding experience in European competition with goals in both the Champions League and Europa League.
Born in Paris and comfortable operating from the right flank on his preferred left foot, he has also featured on the biggest international stage, making appearances at the 2026 World Cup. At club level he has already lifted silverware with Feyenoord, winning the Dutch Super Cup in 2025.
Sunderland’s interest comes at a time when Feyenoord have seen Hadj Moussa’s value rise sharply from the modest figure attached to his move from Patro Eisden. With four years left on his contract, Feyenoord are under no pressure to sell, and any talks are expected to hinge on whether Sunderland are prepared to meet a price that reflects his long-term deal in the Netherlands.
