Ebrima Colley: Gambian winger joins Konyaspor on loan from Young Boys
Gambia winger Ebrima Colley has joined Turkish side Konyaspor on loan from Swiss champions Young Boys. The 26-year-old left winger moves to the Super Lig in a deal that includes a €200,000 loan fee and will wear the number 19 shirt for his new club.
Colley has signed on for the 2026-27 campaign, with his contract at Konyaspor running until 30 June 2027. The switch marks a return to Turkey for the Serrekunda-born attacker, who previously featured in the Super Lig and Turkish Cup earlier in his career.
Primarily operating on the left but favouring his right foot, the 1.80m winger arrives with experience across several European competitions. He has played in Serie A, the Swiss Super League and the Champions League, and has also featured in both the Europa League and Champions League qualifying rounds.
Colley was part of the Young Boys squad that won the Swiss title in 2023-24, adding to a successful youth spell in Italy where he twice became Italian Primavera champion and lifted the Italian Supercoppa at that level with Atalanta’s youth side. At youth level he displayed a prolific touch, scoring regularly in Primavera and Coppa Primavera competitions.
Across his senior club career, Colley has accumulated more than 60 league appearances in the Swiss top flight and has also had spells in Turkey and Italy’s top division, as well as domestic cup competitions in all three countries.
The Gambian international now embarks on a new chapter in Konya after completing his loan move from Young Boys.
