Amr Gomaa: Egyptian forward swaps Ittihad Alex for El Mahalla in confirmed move
Egyptian centre-forward Amr Gomaa has joined El Mahalla from Ittihad Alex, strengthening the Premier League sides attack ahead of the new campaign. The 26-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029 after completing his move on 10 July 2026.
Gomaa, born in Damanhour and a right-footed striker by trade, arrives at El Mahalla after two seasons on the books at Ittihad. He moved there from Raya SC in August 2024, in a deal worth 22,000, and has since built up top-flight experience in Egypts Premier League and domestic cups.
Last season, Gomaa featured across league and cup competitions, making 19 league appearances and contributing one goal and one assist. He also added minutes in the relegation play-offs, the Egyptian League Cup and the Egypt Cup, amassing more than 1,100 minutes of senior football in all competitions. His performances have helped establish him as a regular option at centre-forward at domestic level.
El Mahalla, competing in the same Premier League as his former club, have moved to secure Gomaa at a time when his market value stands at 75,000. The length of his three-year deal underlines the clubs commitment to integrating him into their long-term plans in the top flight.
Gomaas transfer from Ittihad Alex to El Mahalla is now complete, with the striker tied to his new club until the summer of 2029.
