Adams Kone: Ivorian defender joins Vitoria Guimaraes B on free transfer
Ivorian centre-back Adams Kone has joined Vitoria Guimaraes SC B from Fenerbahce U19 on a free transfer, signing a contract with the Portuguese club until 30 June 2029.
The 19-year-old defender moves to Guimaraes B team after a spell in Turkey, where he featured in the U19 Super Lig for Fenerbahces youth side. Standing at 1.81m and predominantly right-footed, Kone is expected to operate in the heart of the defence for the Liga 3 outfit.
Kone arrives in Portugal following a solid campaign at youth level, in which he made 10 appearances and logged 820 minutes in the U19 Super Lig. His switch marks his first move into Portuguese football and places him within a system known for developing young talent through its B-team structure.
The Abidjan-born defender only joined Fenerbahces Under-19s earlier in 2026, also on a free, having previously been unattached before his move to Istanbul. His rise over the past year has taken him from youth football in Turkey to a long-term deal in one of Europes recognised development pathways.
Vitoria Guimaraes B compete in Liga 3, Portugals third tier, and serve as a bridge between the clubs academy and first team. Kones contract to 2029 underlines the clubs commitment to integrating him over the coming seasons as he begins the next stage of his career in Portuguese football.
