Tahiry Rakotoarisoa: Madagascar-French midfielder joins Les Sables VF on free transfer

Les Sables VF have added attacking midfielder Tahiry Rakotoarisoa to their squad, with the Madagascar-French player joining the French club on a free transfer from Chataigneraie. The 25-year-old moves after one season with Chataigneraie and will operate primarily in an advanced midfield role for his new side.

Rakotoarisoa arrives at Les Sables VF having built up steady experience across the French lower divisions. Over recent campaigns he has featured in National 2 and National 1, making more than 50 league appearances at that level and gaining further minutes in the Coupe de France. His record includes two goals in National 2 competition, alongside regular playing time that has seen him pass 2,000 minutes in league action.

Born in Fontainebleau in May 2001, Rakotoarisoa is eligible for both Madagascar and France and stands at 1.70m. He has largely been deployed as an attacking midfielder, offering a link between midfield and attack and operating in central advanced positions.

Before his spell at Chataigneraie, he spent the 2025-26 season with ESOFV La Roche, also joining there on a free transfer, after earlier stints with Roche Vendee B and La Roche Vendee. His senior pathway has kept him within the Vendee and wider western France football scene, giving him familiarity with the regional game Les Sables VF compete in.

Rakotoarisoas move, completed on 10 July 2026, sees him officially registered as a Les Sables VF player following the end of his contract at Chataigneraie.
