Zakaria Eddahchouri: UD Almería linked with move for Dutch-Moroccan forward
Netherlands-Morocco centre-forward Zakaria Eddahchouri of Dep. A Coruña is being linked with a summer move to Spanish side UD Almería, according to transfer data emerging from Spain.
The 26-year-old, who wears the No 9 shirt for Deportivo and is listed with a market value of €2.50m, is the subject of speculation over a switch from LaLiga to LaLiga2, with Almería monitoring his situation. Transfer reports list the probability of the deal as “?”, underlining that talks are at a very early and uncertain stage.
Crucially, Eddahchouri’s contract situation at Riazor is unclear, with no expiry date recorded. That has prompted suggestions he could be attainable on favourable terms, or even move as a free agent should it emerge that his deal has already run down or is close to expiry.
Born in Papendrecht on 11 May 2000, the 1.87m right-footed striker has dual Dutch and Moroccan nationality and operates primarily as a central forward. He joined Deportivo A Coruña after earlier spells in the Netherlands, and his performances in Spain have helped consolidate his current valuation on the transfer market.
Almería, now competing in LaLiga2, are rebuilding their squad and are understood to be exploring options in the Spanish market for a physically strong No 9 capable of leading the line. Eddahchouri’s profile, age and price bracket make him a plausible target if Depor decide to cash in or if his contractual status allows a low-cost deal.
With the rumour still at a speculative stage and no fee or contract length reported, Eddahchouri’s future remains open. A move to Almería, if it materialises, would offer him a fresh platform in Andalusia to enhance his reputation in Spanish football and potentially set up a further step up later in his career.
