Newcastle linked with Valencia winger David Otorbi

David Otorbi, the Spanish-Nigerian winger currently at Valencia, has been linked with a move to Newcastle in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old right winger has made eight LaLiga appearances for Valencia this season, scoring once. He has started 22% of the club’s possible league matches and played 41% of the available minutes.

Otorbi joined Valencia’s first team from Valencia B on 1 July 2026, having progressed through the club’s youth system. His emergence in the senior squad has now been followed by reported interest from Newcastle, although the move remains a rumour and no transfer has been confirmed.

The player’s market value is listed at €3.5m, while Valencia retain him under contract until 30 June 2028. That agreement means any potential deal would involve negotiations between the Spanish club and Newcastle rather than a free transfer.

Otorbi was born in Valencia and is eligible to represent both Spain and Nigeria. His current campaign is his first recorded senior season at LaLiga level, with his eight appearances including a goal during Valencia’s opening run of fixtures.

For now, he remains a Valencia player, with his contract in place through the end of June 2028.
