FC Bayern Munich are considering whether to retain Nicolas Jackson beyond the current season, with the forward’s performances on loan from Chelsea FC prompting internal discussions about his future.

Jackson initially arrived in Munich to provide support for Harry Kane, but has since developed into a dependable option within the club’s attacking rotation.

His contributions across multiple competitions have strengthened his case for a longer stay.

According to reports, Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is in favour of keeping the Senegal international, believing he has the attributes required to remain part of the squad over the long term.

The coach is said to value his versatility and ability to contribute consistently when called upon.

On the pitch, Jackson has delivered solid returns for a player not always in the starting line-up.

He has recorded 13 goal contributions in 28 appearances in all competitions, including nine goals and four assists, achieved in just over 1,000 minutes of playing time.

Despite those numbers, the situation remains complex. The financial terms linked to any permanent transfer could prove to be a significant obstacle.

The reported purchase option is set at around €65 million, alongside a salary package that would require careful consideration from the German club.

As a result, alternative solutions are also being explored. One possibility under discussion is the extension of his stay through another loan agreement, which could provide Bayern with more flexibility while maintaining squad depth.

At this stage, there have been no formal negotiations between Bayern, Chelsea and the player regarding a permanent move.

However, the indications suggest that the club are seriously evaluating their options as they plan for the upcoming season.

Jackson’s future in Munich is therefore still undecided, with his performances continuing to play a key role in shaping the final decision.
