Rezk Basha completes El Dakhlia move after El Mahalla spell
Egyptian midfielder Rezk Basha has joined El Dakhlia from El Mahalla, completing a move that takes the 22-year-old defensive midfielder to his new club.
Basha’s switch was registered on 15 August 2026, bringing an end to his time with El Mahalla after just over a year at the club. He had joined El Mahalla from YC Kom Hamada on 17 July 2025, making the move to El Dakhlia the latest step in his developing Egyptian club career.
The right-footed player operates primarily in defensive midfield, a role that places him at the base of the midfield and gives him a clear position within El Dakhlia’s squad. His arrival adds a 22-year-old Egyptian option to the club’s midfield group as the new season begins.
Basha’s move follows his spell at El Mahalla during the 2025-26 season. His previous club had been his first recorded destination after leaving YC Kom Hamada, where he began the sequence of transfers that has now taken him to El Dakhlia.
The transfer also marks a relatively quick progression between Egyptian clubs for Basha. He moved to El Mahalla in July 2025 before changing clubs again in August 2026, with El Dakhlia becoming his third recorded senior destination.
Born on 6 March 2004, Basha joins El Dakhlia at the age of 22 and brings experience of playing in the defensive midfield position. His preferred right foot further defines the role he is expected to occupy within the squad, although no further playing or contract details have been announced.
The move was completed on 15 August 2026, with Basha leaving El Mahalla to join El Dakhlia.
