Como are being linked with a surprise move for Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Farès Chaïbi, whose long-term future in Germany remains uncertain.
Reports in Italy and Germany have flagged up interest from Serie A side Como 1907 in the 23-year-old, with the rumour logged on 5 March 2026 and the probability of a deal still officially rated as “?”.
Chaïbi, born in Lyon on 28 November 2002, is a right-footed attacking midfielder who represents Algeria and also holds French nationality. He joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Toulouse on 30 August 2023 after rising through Toulouse’s youth and B teams, having first left FC Lyon’s youth ranks in 2019.
According to Transfermarkt data, Chaïbi’s current market value stands at €15.00m, having fluctuated sharply in recent seasons. After peaking at €18m in the spring of 2024, his value dipped to €9m by March 2025 before recovering again to €15m by the end of 2025. The absence of a declared contract expiry date at Frankfurt has led to speculation that the club could be vulnerable either to a below-value sale or, in a less likely scenario, to the risk of the player running down his deal and becoming a free agent in future windows.
The Algerian international, who wears number 8 at Frankfurt, has featured regularly in the Bundesliga and European competition since his move from Ligue 1, where he broke through with Toulouse. He has built a reputation as a technically gifted playmaker capable of operating across the attacking midfield line.
While there is no indication yet of an agreed fee between Frankfurt and Como, any deal would be expected to reflect his €15m valuation. If the move materialises, a switch from the Bundesliga to Serie A could represent a pivotal next step in Chaïbi’s career, offering a fresh platform in Italy to reassert his trajectory and further enhance his reputation at both club and international level.
