Burkina Faso’s U17 side have reached the semi-finals of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament after drawing with Ghana.
The young Stallions held their own against the Black Starlets to secure the result they needed and confirm their place in the last four. The outcome keeps their campaign on course under national coach Mamadou Zongo, known as Bebeto.
The qualification rewards the team’s efforts in the tournament and allows them to focus on the next stage of the competition.
Burkina Faso will discover their semi-final opponents after Saturday’s match between Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria. Fato Wangraoua was named player of the match and will be one to watch as the tournament continues.
