Besiktas explore loan deal for Morocco winger Chemsdine Talbi
Morocco international Chemsdine Talbi has emerged as a potential transfer target for Turkish side Besiktas, who are considering a loan move for the Sunderland winger during the winter transfer window.
According to Turkish outlet Sporx, Besiktas have renewed their interest in the 21-year-old as they seek to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
Sunderland reportedly value Talbi at around €20 million, making a temporary move a possible alternative for the Turkish club rather than a permanent transfer.
Limited opportunities at Sunderland
Talbi joined Sunderland from Belgian club Club Brugge in July 2025 but has struggled to secure regular playing time in the Premier League at the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
The Moroccan winger has made one Premier League appearance this season, coming off the bench, while also featuring in the League Cup.
He scored in Sunderland’s 1-0 League Cup victory over Hull City in September but has yet to establish himself as a regular member of the squad.
His limited opportunities could open the door to a move elsewhere, although no agreement between Sunderland and Besiktas has been reported.
Besiktas explore loan option
Besiktas are reportedly examining the possibility of securing Talbi on loan as they seek to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the campaign.
The Turkish side are also looking to reinforce their midfield and defensive midfield positions ahead of the second half of the season.
Talbi developed through Club Brugge’s youth system before progressing to the Belgian club’s first team and subsequently moving to England.
A potential switch to Besiktas could offer the Morocco international an opportunity to gain more regular playing time, but any deal will depend on negotiations between the clubs and Sunderland’s willingness to allow him to leave, even temporarily.
