Farès Chaïbi: Frankfurt attacking midfielder linked with Stuttgart move in Germany

Stuttgart are being linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Farès Chaïbi in a deal that could hinge on his contract situation and potential free‑agent status.

The 23‑year‑old, who represents Algeria and also holds French nationality, is the subject of fresh speculation in Germany, with the Bundesliga rivals reportedly monitoring his future at Frankfurt. Transfermarkt lists his current market value at €15.00m, while the probability of the move is recorded only as “?”, underlining that talks are at an early and uncertain stage.

Chaïbi’s deal length in Frankfurt has not been disclosed, adding to suggestions that Stuttgart could seek to exploit any uncertainty, particularly if his contract is running down or expires, opening the door for a reduced fee or even a free‑agent scenario in a future window. The playmaker, who wears number 8 for Frankfurt, joined from Toulouse on 30 August 2023 after progressing through the French club’s youth and B teams.

Born in Lyon on 28 November 2002 and standing at 1.83m, Chaïbi has built a reputation as a versatile right‑footed attacking midfielder capable of operating across the front line. He first moved from FC Lyon Youth to Toulouse’s academy in 2019, stepped up to Toulouse FC B in 2020 and then into the senior Toulouse side in 2022 before earning his Bundesliga switch.

His market value has fluctuated markedly in recent seasons, rising rapidly from €50,000 at Toulouse FC B in June 2022 to €10m by March 2023, peaking at €18m with Frankfurt in early 2024, and most recently being listed again at €15m in December 2025.

If Stuttgart decide to formalise their interest and Chaïbi opts for a new challenge, a move within the Bundesliga could prove a pivotal moment in his career and shape his standing both in German football and with the Algerian national setup.
