Nazinho: Cercle Brugge left-back linked with move to Stuttgart in Germany

Stuttgart are being linked with a move for Cercle Brugge left-back Nazinho in a deal that could hinge on his contract situation in Belgium.

The 22-year-old, who represents both Portugal and Guinea-Bissau at nationality level, is reported to be on the Bundesliga club’s radar after his progress in the Jupiler Pro League. Transfermarkt lists his current market value at €4.00m, a figure likely to form the basis of any negotiations should Stuttgart choose to formalise their interest.

Nazinho, full name listed simply as Nazinho, joined Cercle Brugge permanently on 1 July 2024 following an initial loan from Sporting CP B, having first moved to Belgium on a temporary deal in September 2023. With no public end date recorded for his current contract, there remains the possibility that, if no extension is agreed and his deal were to run down, he could ultimately become a free agent, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the situation.

Born in Almada on 20 July 2003 and standing at 1.80m, the left-footer is primarily a defender at left-back but has developed a reputation as an energetic modern full-back during his time in Belgium. His form has been reflected in a rising valuation: after being rated at €500,000 at Sporting CP in late 2021, his market value climbed steadily through €1m and €3m before peaking at €5m in October 2025 and settling at €4m by December 2025.

Nazinho’s career path has taken him through several levels of Portuguese football, starting in CD Cova da Piedade’s academy before spells with SC Braga’s youth sides and Sporting CP’s U17, U19, U23, B team and first team. His recent performances for Cercle Brugge in the Jupiler Pro League have kept him on the radar of clubs in Europe’s top five leagues, with this latest link to Stuttgart recorded on 3 March 2026 and the probability of a move still listed as unclear (“?”).

If Stuttgart do decide to push ahead, a switch to the Bundesliga would mark a significant step in Nazinho’s development and could prove pivotal in shaping both his reputation and long-term potential at the highest level.
