Wiliete Sport Clube de Benguela have completed the signing of DR Congo midfielder Chikito Lema Mabidi from Libyan side Nosou Martouba FC, with the contract running from 2026-02-12 to 2028-06-30. The 32-year-old central midfielder joins the Angolan club on a standard transfer, ending his spell in Libyan football and beginning a new chapter in the Girabola outfit’s engine room.
The move takes Mabidi from Nosou Martouba to Wiliete SC after just over a year in Libya, where he had arrived from Branes SC. There is no official information in the data regarding the transfer fee, and his current market value is not listed, but the deal has been fully finalised and registered. Wiliete SC add an experienced international-profile midfielder to their squad, while Nosou Martouba lose a seasoned figure who has featured across several countries and competitions.
Mabidi, born in Kinshasa and standing 1.72 m tall, is a right-footed central midfielder whose main position is in the heart of the pitch. He brings extensive experience from African and Asian leagues, having previously played for AS Vita Club Kinshasa in DR Congo, CS Sfaxien in Tunisia, Raja Club Athletic in Morocco, FK Sabail in Azerbaijan, and Iraqi sides Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Diwaniya SC. His career path has frequently seen him switch between domestic African giants and ambitious clubs abroad, giving him a broad tactical and cultural background to draw on at Wiliete.
His market value peaked during his time at Raja Club Athletic, where it rose as high as €700,000 according to earlier assessments, before gradually declining as he moved to Azerbaijan with FK Sabail and later to Iraq. By the time he returned to AS Vita Club in 2022, his recorded market value had dropped to zero, a reflection more of market conditions and contract status than of his underlying experience. From Vita, he headed to Libya with Branes SC in late 2023, then to Nosou Martouba in early 2025, and now onto Wiliete SC in Angola.
The contractual details available indicate a fixed term at Wiliete SC, with a clear start and end date, meaning there is a defined point at which Mabidi could become a free agent if no extension is agreed. That timeline gives both player and club flexibility as he approaches the latter stages of his career, while also offering Wiliete cost control and squad-planning clarity.
For Wiliete SC, the arrival of a player who has competed in Tunisia’s top flight, Morocco’s Botola, Azerbaijan, and Iraq adds leadership and a measure of continental know-how to their midfield group. For Mabidi, the confirmed switch ensures he will continue playing abroad rather than returning to DR Congo, extending a long period in which he has built his career outside his homeland.
As he settles in Benguela, the focus will turn to how effectively he can translate his experience into consistent performances for Wiliete SC, and whether a successful spell in Angola will open further options once his current deal runs its course.
