Dodoma Jiji FC defender Disan Galiwango is being linked with a return to Ugandan football, with Uganda Premier League side URA FC reportedly monitoring the left-back’s situation.

The 27-year-old Uganda international, currently on the books of Tanzanian club Dodoma Jiji FC, is the subject of transfer speculation suggesting a possible move back to his home country. According to the latest listing, the probability of the transfer remains unclear and is marked only as “?”, underlining that talks, if any, are still at a very early and unconfirmed stage.

Galiwango’s current market value is listed as None, a detail that has fuelled debate over whether a deal would require a transfer fee or could evolve into a free-agent move if his contractual situation allows. His existing contract details, including expiry, are not disclosed, adding to the uncertainty around what sort of package URA FC would need to assemble to secure his services.

Born on 2 April 1998, Galiwango has built a career across both Ugandan and Tanzanian football. After early spells with Uganda People’s Defence Force FC and The Saints Mukono, he moved to Express FC in 2018 before switching to Vipers SC in 2020. A move to Kagera Sugar in Tanzania followed in 2023, with Dodoma Jiji FC securing his signature from Kagera Sugar in August 2024.

Primarily a left-back and a natural left-footer, he offers defensive solidity and width on the flank, attributes that could appeal to URA FC as they look to reinforce their back line for upcoming Uganda Premier League campaigns. No recent match-by-match performance data is provided, so his current form at Dodoma Jiji FC is not fully documented in the available figures.

If the proposed switch does materialise, a move to URA FC could mark another key step in Galiwango’s career, giving him a fresh platform in the Ugandan top flight to reassert his reputation and potentially open up further opportunities at club and national level.
