Hammarby are being linked with a move for Seattle right winger Georgi Minoungou, with the Allsvenskan club reportedly exploring a deal for the 23-year-old.
The Swedish side are understood to be monitoring Minoungou’s situation in Major League Soccer, where the Burkinabe–Ivorian winger is currently valued at around €800,000. Transfermarkt lists the move’s probability only as “?”, underlining that discussions – if any – remain at an early and uncertain stage rather than an advanced negotiation.
Minoungou is currently contracted to Seattle Sounders FC, but with no public information on a defined expiry date, observers have suggested there is scope for the player’s status to change in upcoming windows, including the possibility of him moving on as a free agent if talks over his future stall. For now, he remains a Seattle player and any switch to Stockholm would require an agreement between the clubs or a change in his contractual position.
Born on 25 July 2002 in Batiebly-Douibly, the 1.78m right-footer represents both Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire at nationality level and operates primarily as an attacking right winger. He first appeared in Europe with Czech side MFK Vyškov before heading to the United States with Tacoma Defiance, initially on loan in March 2022 and then permanently, prior to stepping up to Seattle’s MLS squad in August 2024.
