Mohamed Salah is set to make his 80th UEFA Champions League appearance for Liverpool when they face Qarabag in the final league-phase match, drawing level with club legend Jamie Carragher’s record.
The occasion is even more symbolic as it falls on Carragher’s 48th birthday, linking two eras of Anfield greats in one night.
Salah has already lifted the Champions League trophy once with Liverpool and, across all the clubs he has represented, has played 104 matches in the competition, scoring 52 goals and providing 20 assists. He will be eager to improve those numbers further as Liverpool look to close out this stage of the tournament on a strong note.
Throughout his Liverpool tenure, Salah has amassed 248 goals and 116 assists in 413 appearances across all competitions, evolving from a promising winger into the club’s talismanic figure and one of the Premier League’s most prolific scorers with 188 league goals.
This latest milestone does more than add another statistic to his resume; it underlines his enduring consistency, fitness, and importance to a team that continues to chase trophies at the highest level in Europe.
