Manchester City are reportedly one of a host of English Premier League clubs interested in signing Italian defender of Nigerian descent, Michael Kayode.
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the most highly rated full-backs in the English top flight this season. According to Tutto Juve, Kayode is being closely followed by a number of elite clubs, with Manchester City joined by Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United in the Premier League race.
Interest is also said to be coming from Germany and Italy, with Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Juventus all monitoring his progress.
Kayode has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under manager Keith Andrews at Brentford, establishing himself as a key figure in the team. He has featured in the starting line-up for every league match this season, a testament to both his consistency and rapid development, which has underlined his long-term potential.
Despite the growing interest, any move away from London is expected to come at a high cost. Brentford only recently acquired Kayode from Fiorentina for a fee of around €17.5 million, and with the defender tied to a long-term contract running until 2030, the club is in a strong negotiating position.
As a result, a transfer next summer would likely depend on the arrival of an exceptionally lucrative offer.
