Spanish giants Barcelona are considering a move for Dutch international of Ivory Coast descent Nathan Ake ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Catalans are seeking to bolster their squad in the upcoming window, with Ake, who plies his trade for Manchester City emerging as a priority target.
Barcelona intends to snap up the 30-year-old defender on loan to increase squad depth, as well as add experience and reliability to their defensive line.
Despite expressing interest in the former Chelsea marksman, the Spanish outfit has yet to table an official offer but the possibility remains on the table.
Besides Barcelona, fellow Premier league clubs, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and West Ham are all said to be interested in the enterprising defender.
This season, Nathan Ake has played 13 matches for Manchester City but has not contributed any goals or assists.
Ake joined Manchester City in 2020 and has since established himself as a key member of the team. His current contract with Citizens runs until 2027.
