Black Galaxies coach Kassim Mingle dismisses talk of pressure ahead of Bafana Bafana friendly
Head coach of Ghana’s Black Galaxies, Kassim Mingle Ocansey, has dismissed suggestions that his side is under pressure going into their international friendly against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Mingle described the fixture as an important opportunity to assess his team’s progress, insisting that the focus remains on gradual development rather than immediate results.
He believes the match will serve as a valuable test as the Black Galaxies continue their rebuilding process.
“This game is an opportunity for the Black Galaxies to prove that they are a very good side. I’m happy to have this friendly, but my team is not under any pressure. We believe in building, and that is exactly what I am doing,” Coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey said as quoted on ghanafa.org.
The Black Galaxies are set to take on Bafana Bafana at the Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 pm Ghana time.
For the South Africans, the match forms part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which begins in Morocco on Sunday, December 21. Ghana, however, will not be part of the tournament after failing to secure qualification.
