PSG, Juventus and Inter Milan monitor Rennes defender Mahamadou Nagida
Mahamadou Nagida is attracting interest from several major European clubs following his impressive start to the season with Stade Rennais, with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Inter Milan and FC Porto reportedly monitoring the Cameroonian left-back.
According to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, the four clubs are keeping track of the 21-year-old as they assess potential defensive reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window. Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the defender.
Nagida has made significant progress since joining Rennes in 2023, gradually establishing himself in the first team after initially serving as an alternative to Quentin Merlin.
His pace, attacking contribution and ability to push forward from the left flank have helped him attract attention from clubs across Europe.
Rennes determined to retain Nagida
Despite the growing interest, Rennes are reportedly reluctant to let the defender leave during the January transfer window.
According to reports citing Konur, the French club want to retain Nagida until at least the end of the season. An exceptionally attractive financial offer could potentially change their position, but no concrete negotiations have been confirmed. <Cite refs={[“turn987665search1″,”turn987665search5”]}/>
The Breton club are in a strong negotiating position, with Nagida contracted until June 2029.
Nagida’s rising market value
The Cameroonian international is currently valued at approximately €10 million by Transfermarkt, although Rennes could demand considerably more if several clubs formally pursue his signature.
Interest in Nagida has also been reported previously, with Inter Milan and Porto linked to the defender before the latest reports named PSG, Juventus and Dortmund among his potential suitors. However, not every interested club has confirmed plans to make an offer.
For now, Nagida remains focused on his development at Rennes, where his performances could further strengthen his reputation ahead of the next transfer window.
With several European clubs reportedly monitoring his progress, the defender’s future is likely to remain a talking point as January approaches.
