Al Ahly’s first training session in the UAE brought optimism for their fans. Several previously sidelined players returned to training, boosting team spirit ahead of the Super Cup.

The session was held at the Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Ain, and the team is set for their final rehearsal at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium before Thursday’s semi-final against Ceramica Cleopatra.

A source told Kooora, “Emam Ashour, who has been absent for a while, joined part of the ball drills today.” However, Ashour is still not expected to be ready for the Ceramica match despite his presence at training. The same source confirmed that Mohamed Sherif and Ahmed Reda have both recovered and participated gradually, adding, “Sherif and Reda will undergo medical tests, but it’s unlikely they’ll make the first game.”

The coaching staff focused on technical and physical readiness to prepare for a fierce competition. All fit players, including Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, took part, he missed the last match against Al Masry.

Coach Jess Thorup held a video meeting to analyze their upcoming rival and discuss game plans. The Super Cup, held from November 6-9, features Ahly (league winners), Zamalek (cup winners), Pyramids (invited), and Ceramica Cleopatra (League Cup winners). Excitement is high, with fans eager to see if Ceramica Cleopatra can surprise after dominating the League Cup.
