Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany opens up on trust in Sacha Boey
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has opened up about his belief in France-born defender of Cameroonian descent, Sacha Boey.
Boey, who joined Bayern Munich from Galatasaray, has started the new season in strong form, convincing the manager with his consistency and work rate. Speaking at a press conference, Kompany shared insight into how players like Boey have responded positively to his coaching approach.
Kompany said: “Another player who wasn’t easy is Serge Gnabry. Or Leon Goretzka. At Bayern, no player lacks talent.”
Emphasizing his belief in the group, he added: “Although our squad isn’t the largest, we always feel that our players can be used 100 percent in any situation. Sacha was considered a great talent at Galatasaray.”
Addressing the challenges players face at top clubs, Kompany continued: “Sometimes it’s not easy to succeed at a club as big as Bayern Munich. As a coach, I can’t go along with what the public thinks about the players. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have any players left.”
Boey’s recent performances have drawn positive reviews from Bayern fans and pundits alike, reinforcing Kompany’s trust in the 23-year-old as a valuable member of his defensive setup.
