Kladno add Nigeria midfielder Sulaiman Shehu after Wildon exit

Nigeria midfielder Sulaiman Shehu has joined Czech club Kladno from Austria’s Wildon on a free transfer, completing the move on 26 August 2026.

The 20-year-old central midfielder has switched from Wildon’s Landesliga Steiermark setting to Kladno in the ChNL. Shehu’s arrival gives the Czech club a new midfield option as the 2026-27 season gets under way.

Shehu spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign with Wildon after joining the Austrian club from Stars Builders on 1 February 2026. His time at Wildon preceded the move to Kladno, with the transfer bringing his latest change of club less than seven months after his arrival.

Before joining Wildon, Shehu had represented Stars Builders during the first half of the 2025-26 season. He moved to that club from SJK II on a free transfer on 1 July 2025, beginning a sequence of transfers that has taken him from Finland to Austria and now the Czech Republic.

The midfielder joined SJK II in August 2024. His move to Kladno is therefore his fourth recorded club change since entering senior football, following spells with SJK II, Stars Builders and Wildon.

Shehu’s preferred position is central midfield. He is listed as a Nigeria international by nationality and was born on 10 May 2006. At Kladno, he will continue his career in the Czech football system after his previous season in Austria’s Landesliga Steiermark.

Kladno’s 2026-27 campaign includes the ChNL and the MOL Cup. Shehu has joined the club at the start of the new season, with the transfer registered as a free move from Wildon.

The switch was completed on 26 August, with Shehu leaving Wildon to become a Kladno player.
