Pyramids prepare for FIFA’s Intercontinental Cup clash with Al Ahli

Pyramids FC is set for one of the biggest moments in the club’s history after FIFA confirmed the details of their upcoming Intercontinental Cup match against Saudi side Al Ahli.

The Egyptian team, who have been steadily building their reputation in recent years, will face the challenge with hopes of reaching the final stage of the competition.

The club’s media center announced that FIFA officially informed the management of the match date and venue. The game will be played at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, at Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, with both Cairo and Jeddah sharing the same time.

According to FIFA’s format, if the game ends level after regular time, two 30-minute extra periods will be played. Should the tie continue, penalty kicks will be used to determine the winner.

The victor between Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia and Pyramids of Egypt will advance to the combined final round of the Intercontinental Cup in Doha this December, giving the competition a global spotlight.
