Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC have denied holding talks with Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng.

Aliou Dieng has been linked to a possible departure from Al Ahly, with his contract reportedly set to expire next summer.

Several reports in the last few days have indicated that Pyramids are working to secure the services of the experienced player.

Addressing the speculation, Assistant Coach of Pyramids FC, Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’, has stated categorically that there are no ongoing talks to sign Aliou Dieng.

“There are no negotiations with Dieng at all, and everything that has been said in this regard is baseless,” Gedo said in a TV interview on Sada El Balad satellite channel.

He added, “We have six of the best professionals in the Egyptian league, and we have Blati Toure in the same position as Dieng, so we are not thinking of signing him. Al-Ahly is going through difficult circumstances this season, due to the lack of sufficient rest, which has affected the team’s performance.”

Dieng, 27, remain a key player for Al Ahly and will play a crucial role for the side in the ongoing 2025/26 football season.
