Emam Ashour strengthens Al Ahly for Enppi clash
Emam Ashour is back with Al Ahly and ready to give his team a lift as they prepare to face Enppi in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday.
The midfielder has fully recovered from collarbone surgery that kept him out since the Club World Cup, and his return comes at a vital time for the team.
Al Ahly entered a closed training camp on Saturday night under interim coach Emad El-Nahhas, who announced the squad that now includes Ashour. Supporters will also be pleased with the return of defender Yassin Marei after a hamstring injury.
However, the squad is not at full strength. Omar Kamal Abdel-Wahed, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Shukry, Ashraf Dari, and Karim Fouad are sidelined with injuries, while Hamza Abdel-Karim and Ahmed Abdel-Qader are left out for technical reasons.
El Ahly, sitting 15th in the league with just five points, hope the comeback of Ashour and others will spark a turnaround. Fans are eager to see whether this mix of experience and returning talent can help the Red Devils climb the table.
