Yussi Diarra: Mali-Spain midfielder returns to Cordoba CF on loan from Cadiz
Mali-Spain midfielder Yussi Diarra has rejoined Cordoba CF on loan from LaLiga2 rivals Cadiz CF. The 27-year-old central midfielder returns to El Arcangel for the 2026-27 season, moving back to the club where he previously enjoyed one of the most productive spells of his career.
Diarra, born in Bamako and also holding Spanish nationality, heads to Cordoba after a year with Cadiz, who signed him from CD Tenerife in 2025 for 700,000. His latest switch is a straight loan transfer, with his temporary deal at Cordoba running until 30 June 2027.
A right-footed central midfielder standing 1.74m tall, Diarra has built a solid reputation in Spains lower professional tiers, particularly in Segunda Division and the Primera Federacion. Across his career he has accumulated more than 70 appearances in LaLiga2, contributing goals and assists from midfield, and has also featured regularly in promotion play-offs and the Copa del Rey.
Diarra is no stranger to Cordoba supporters, having first joined the club in 2022 from Bilbao Athletic on a free transfer. He impressed sufficiently over two seasons to earn a move to Tenerife in 2024, again as a free agent, before Cadiz invested in him the following summer.
Having now completed his medical and registration, Diarras loan marks his second spell in green and white, with Cadiz retaining his rights beyond the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
