Morocco will face Germany on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, with victory enough to give either side sole possession of Group A at the Women’s Under-17 World Cup.
Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 Moroccan time at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Sale, with the match beginning at 19:00 in France.
The meeting is the second group fixture for both teams at a tournament being held in Morocco from 17 October to 7 November. The group’s other match sees Argentina play New Zealand at 15:00.
The game will be shown in Morocco on Arryadia TNT and will also be available through SNRT Live. beIN Sports is among the broadcasters listed for the Middle East and North Africa region.
The fixture will also be streamed free of charge on FIFA+, the official FIFA platform, in the majority of territories. All matches at the tournament are being offered live on the service. In Germany, the match will additionally be broadcast by DAZN. FIFA has confirmed that the competition will be available on FIFA+.
Both teams made winning starts to the tournament, although their opening matches followed different patterns.
Morocco’s Lioncelles de l’Atlas produced a dominant display in front of their home supporters to beat New Zealand 4-0. Despite controlling much of the contest, Youness Rabie’s side had to wait until the second half to establish a clear advantage.
Sonia Abajiou opened the scoring before a New Zealand own goal increased Morocco’s lead. Imane Dhissi then added another, while Hiba Youssoufi completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
Youssoufi, who provided an assist before scoring herself, was named player of the match. The result put Morocco at the top of Group A on goal difference.
Germany, identified as one of Morocco’s group opponents at the draw in May, had a more difficult opening against Argentina. The European champions at this age level fell behind early but recovered to win 2-1, with captain Johanna Hebben playing a key role in the comeback.
The fixture offers one of the two teams the chance to make significant progress towards the knockout stage. The top two sides in each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will qualify for the round of 16.
After their emphatic opening victory, Morocco will now face a major test against one of the leading teams in European women’s football.
