Mouloudia Alger issues urgent appeal to fans ahead of crucial match against Olympique Aqbou
Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MCA) has issued an important message to its supporters, urging them to exercise caution and sportsmanship during the upcoming match against Olympique Aqbou in the sixth round of the Algerian Professional League.
The appeal, released on Tuesday, comes as the club prepares for the high-stakes fixture set to take place on Thursday evening at the 5 July Stadium.
Through an official statement shared across its social media platforms, MCA’s management called on fans to refrain from throwing objects onto the pitch, emphasizing the need for vigilance against any actions that might disrupt the match or lead to disciplinary measures against the club.
The administration highlighted that such behavior could result in financial penalties or, worse, force the team to play future games behind closed doors.
“Mouloudia Alger needs its loyal supporters now more than ever,” the statement read, noting that the club’s fans have always been a vital part of its identity since its founding in 1921.
“The faithful followers have been the team’s backbone, and their presence is crucial for the upcoming match.”
The club’s management also reminded fans that MCA has already received an initial warning from the league’s governing body.
Should further incidents occur, leading to three warnings in total, the team could face the sanction of playing without fans, depriving both the players of their support and the fans of the chance to cheer on their team from the stands.
The message underscores the club’s desire to avoid such penalties, particularly during a pivotal phase of the league campaign.
It urged fans to demonstrate their unwavering support through positive and respectful conduct during the match.
Mouloudia Alger is set to face Olympique Aqbou on Thursday at 20:30 local time, in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
As the team strives to climb up the league table, MCA’s management hopes that their appeal will resonate with the supporters, ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere at the 5 July Stadium.
