Monaco rely on Ghedjemis preference as Besiktas submit €20m bid

The contest for Frosinone forward Fares Ghedjemis has intensified, with Besiktas and AS Monaco both making formal offers for the Algeria international.

According to information from Abdel Hamed, Besiktas have tabled a €20m proposal for the Italian club’s attacker, while AS Monaco have offered €12m plus bonuses. The Turkish side’s bid is therefore €8m higher before any additional payments linked to the Monaco package are taken into account.

Besiktas’s offer places them in the stronger position from a purely financial perspective. The €20m proposal would represent a significantly more attractive deal for Frosinone and gives the Turkish club an important advantage in negotiations.

However, Monaco may still have a decisive factor in their favour. Ghedjemis is reported to have made the Ligue 1 club his preferred destination, a position that could influence Frosinone’s decision despite the difference between the two offers.

The Italian club must now weigh a substantially larger fee from Besiktas against the player’s choice and Monaco’s sporting project. The outcome could depend on whether Monaco can persuade Frosinone that Ghedjemis’ wishes and the proposed sporting pathway should take priority over the more lucrative bid.

The two offers underline the growing interest in the forward, who is under contract with Frosinone until June 2028. His current market value is estimated at €7.5m by Transfermarkt, meaning both proposals would be considerably above that assessment.

For Frosinone, the situation presents a clear dilemma. Accepting Besiktas’s offer would deliver the higher immediate financial return, while agreeing a move to Monaco could better reflect the wishes of the player and potentially smooth the transfer negotiations.

Ghedjemis’ preference could prove particularly important if the discussions remain finely balanced. Although Frosinone have received the stronger financial proposal from Besiktas, Monaco’s ability to secure the player’s backing may encourage the Italian club to continue exploring that option.

The next step is expected to come from Frosinone, with the club having to decide whether the improved financial terms offered by Besiktas outweigh Monaco’s advantage in terms of the player’s preference.

Frosinone are also due to begin their Italian league campaign shortly, when they face Juventus in their opening match. Betting operator 1xbet lists Frosinone at 6.20 to win, with a draw priced at 4.15 and Juventus at 1.19.
