Lille’s difficult UEFA Champions League campaign continued as they were held to a goalless draw by Bodø/Glimt in Norway on Tuesday.
The French club arrived at the Aspmyra Stadion seeking their first points of the competition after suffering three consecutive defeats. However, Bruno Genesio’s side were unable to find a way through during the fourth round of the league phase, with the match ending 0-0.
Lille created several opportunities but could not convert their chances. They recorded eight shots during the game, although only two were on target.
Bodø/Glimt were less prolific in front of goal, managing five attempts, but four of those were on target. That greater accuracy was not enough to produce a winner, as both sides remained level until the final whistle.
The draw leaves Lille without a point after four matchdays of their European campaign. The French side remain in difficulty and will need to find solutions quickly if they are to revive their hopes of progressing in the competition.
