Jawad Khalouk completes USM Oujda move after KACM Marrakech exit

Morocco left-back Jawad Khalouk has joined USM Oujda from KACM Marrakech on a free transfer, strengthening the club’s defensive options ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The 28-year-old has signed a contract with USM Oujda running until 30 June 2028. His move was completed on 2 September, bringing his spell with KACM Marrakech to an end after just over two years.

Khalouk made 26 appearances across the most recent recorded season, including 23 in Botola Pro Inwi, where he provided one assist. He also featured twice in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine and once in the Excellence Cup, completing 1,803 minutes across those competitions.

A naturally left-footed defender, Khalouk has spent much of his career in Moroccan football. He joined KACM Marrakech from Wydad AC on a free transfer in August 2024, having arrived at Wydad from COD Meknes the previous month.

His move to COD Meknes in July 2022 followed a period without a club. Before that, he had been with Difaa El Jadida, where he moved from Nessma Settat in July 2019. Khalouk was born in Settat and stands 1.74m tall.

The switch to USM Oujda represents the latest step in a career built entirely in Morocco, with the defender having played for clubs including Nessma Settat, Difaa El Jadida, COD Meknes, Wydad AC and KACM Marrakech.

Khalouk’s arrival also gives USM Oujda an experienced domestic option at left-back, with the player bringing recent top-flight match experience from his time at KACM Marrakech. His previous season included regular involvement in Botola Pro Inwi as well as appearances in two cup competitions.

He now begins a new chapter with USM Oujda after leaving KACM Marrakech without a transfer fee. Khalouk’s contract with his new club is in place until June 2028.
