Haras El Hodoud move top as Mansoura claim second win in Professional League

Haras El Hodoud moved to the top of the Professional League after beating El Entag El Harby 2-1 in the opening fixture of the third round.

The result took Haras El Hodoud to seven points, while El Entag El Harby remain on two points. The leaders secured victory through goals from Mostafa Shafik and Mohamed Mostafa, who converted from the penalty spot. Mohamed El Sherkha scored for El Entag El Harby.

Five matches were played on Thursday, with the remaining five fixtures in the round scheduled for Friday.

Mansoura also strengthened their position near the top of the table by recording their second victory of the season, beating Kahraba Ismailia 2-0.

Mohamed Eid and Mohannad Rashad scored the goals that earned Mansoura all three points. They now have six points and sit fourth, while Kahraba Ismailia remain on four points.

Mansoura’s latest victory followed a difficult previous match, which they lost after withdrawing, in the team’s defeat by Pharco last week.

Elsewhere, El Sekka El Hadid held Kafr El Zayat Financial to a 1-1 draw. Bassem Adel put Kafr El Zayat Financial ahead before Walid Adel levelled for El Sekka El Hadid.

The draw moved El Sekka El Hadid on to four points, while Kafr El Zayat Financial have five.

WE claimed a 2-0 victory over Dayrout, with Ahmed Hawamdeya and Oky scoring the goals. The result lifted WE to six points, while Dayrout have yet to claim a point this season.

Tanta also recorded their first win of the campaign, beating La Viena 1-0. Ali Sobhi scored the only goal of the game.

La Viena are still searching for their first victory of the season after collecting two points from two draws.

The Professional League continues on Friday with five more matches.

Baladiyat El Mahalla will face Mega Sport, while El Dakhleya play Pharco. Proxy meet El Terسانة, Tanta take on Masr, and Ismaily face El Nasr.

The Friday fixtures will complete the third round after Thursday’s five matches, with the early standings led by Haras El Hodoud on seven points. Mansoura and WE are both on six points, while Kafr El Zayat Financial have five.
