Ball possession:
Didier Deschamps’ side, who enjoyed 57% of the ball, were a class apart for long spells, and while Norway briefly threatened a comeback, France’s superior quality in both boxes told as they made it three wins from three in the group.
Passes:
Norway, roared on by a partisan crowd and needing a result to keep their tournament hopes alive, showed flashes of promise and worked French goalkeeper and defence with 10 shots and four efforts on target. But they simply could not live with the tempo, movement and incision of a France team who created chances almost at will, registering 17 shots and eight on goal.
Defense:
Désiré Doué, the most dangerous Frenchman in terms of shots on goal, was a constant menace between the lines, while Kylian Mbappé Lottin again underlined his status as France’s attacking hub, fashioning four key passes and repeatedly stretching Norway’s back line.
Face-to-face:
At the other end, Norway forward Jørgen Strand Larsen was their liveliest outlet and the game’s most frequent shooter, but he was often forced to feed on half-chances against a French defence marshalled expertly by Ibrahima Konaté and Dayotchanculle Oswald Upamecano.
Fouls:
- Patrick Berg (Norway) at 10 minute
- Aurélien Djani Tchouaméni (France) at 74 minute
