The 23rd edition of the international cycling tour of Togo is set to commence this Monday, featuring participation from nine countries. Among the participants, the Belgian team has already arrived in Togo, touching down on Togolese soil aboard Air France. Anani Assiongbon, the president of the Togolese Cycling Federation, confirmed the Belgian team’s arrival and expressed anticipation for the upcoming competition.
In addition to the Belgian team, the organizing committee is also awaiting the arrival of the French team. Despite the tour comprising seven stages, it promises to be fiercely competitive.
Francis Ducreux, a French representative, emphasized the competitive nature of the tour, citing the presence of experienced teams such as Belgium, the French army, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast. Additionally, there are teams with fewer resources and less experience, contributing to the diversity of competition.
