Attending the match between Monaco and FC Nantes on Sunday, Colombian striker Falcao provided some encouraging updates on his health. Despite being sidelined since last December and initially ruled out for the 2014 World Cup, “El Tigre” remains optimistic about his recovery.

“I’m doing well. My recovery is progressing quickly, and I’m pleased with it. I’ll return to Spain to continue my rehabilitation. The process is going smoothly, and I’m hopeful about my chances of playing in the World Cup, although it’s still too early to be certain. Fortunately, my knee has responded well, allowing me to build strength during my workouts. I’m content with the positive progress. I’m slightly ahead of schedule, but we monitor the evolution day by day. I’m driven by the desire and motivation to make a comeback,” explained the former Atletico Madrid player.

Falcao also took the opportunity to address ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid in June: “I’m content at Monaco, and we’re continuing to achieve victories,” he affirmed. “Our recent win was significant. We’re still focused on our objective: securing qualification for the Champions League. I aspire to compete in the Champions League with Monaco next season.”
