Jean Paul Akono, the former head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, is still battling health issues. He is currently suffering, particularly on his right side, and is unable to write. However, he shared that he can extend his hand for a greeting and is trying to maintain his balance when walking. Akono is seeking evacuation to Europe for more effective treatment. He expressed frustration, stating that people are in a hurry to bring in a new coach instead of prioritizing his evacuation. Despite his health challenges, Akono mentioned that examinations conducted in Yaoundé and Douala revealed that his illness is relatively mild, citing the quick return of sensitivity to his right side, which was initially reported as paralyzed.
