CAF President Patrice Motsepe oversees signing of joint resolution for AFCON 2027 in Nairobi
Dr. Patrice Motsepe, on Monday, May 11, led high-level discussions in Nairobi as he witnessed the official signing of the CAF Joint Resolution, TotalEnergies AFCON PAMOJA 2027, ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Confederation of African Football president met ministers and football officials from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda during the ceremony, which marked a key step in strengthening cooperation among the three host nations.

The agreement is aimed at improving coordination, planning, and delivery of the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the East African trio under the “PAMOJA” project.
Tanzania was represented by Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports Paul Makonda, alongside officials from the Tanzania Football Federation led by president Wallace Karia.
The signing ceremony is considered a major milestone in preparations for AFCON 2027, which will be the first edition of the tournament jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
